How can we find the right words to say, such a bad thing happened yet no one will say sorry or explain why.
Although I am new to the group, and did not know Gary myself, I wish to send my deepest sympathy to his family at this time and hope they can take some comfort from knowing we will be fighting on in his name to make the truth come out.

Very sad to hear that Gary has gone and will not see the result of all our hard work...To beat leukaemia and to get HIV from the treatment was outrageous..
The campaign goes on in his and others memory..
Deepest sympathy to family and friends....

I am saddened to hear of Gary's death. My condolences to his family. He was a pleasure to have known and all I am sure welcomed his tireless campaign for justice for those who received contaminated blood/blood products.
The work will continue in your name and for all those who have passed away or have been effected by this atrocity.
May you rest in peace Gary.

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the death of one of the TaintedBlood committe, Gary Kelly.
Gary died unexpectedly on Monday and his funeral is to be held on Wednesday December 31st at:
Linn Crematorium
Lainshaw Drive
Glasgow
G45 9SP at 11.00.

Those who wish can travel in a motorcade from the Co-op funeral parlour, Holmlea Road, Battlefield, departing at 10.45.
Gary worked tirelessly for all those infected and affected by HIV as a result of receiving contaminated NHS blood, and was a particular ambassador for those who, like himself who were not haemophiliacs. Gary received HIV-infected in 1986, during his treatment for AML Leukaemia, and has been campaigning for justice ever since. He gave evidence at the Archer Inquiry...

As well as being a strong supporter of TaintedBlood, and an active committee member, Gary was also Chair of the HIV Blood Transfusion Group and a member of the Eileen Trust. He once said:
"We have been given a life sentence without parole, while those who are responsible have continued their high flying careers".
